Marcos Allende is the CTO of the LACChain Global Alliance led by the Inter-American Development Bank, being responsible for the development and maintenance of the LACChain blockchain infrastructure that 110+ entities use in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, for more than 80+ more projects. As a quantum physicist who started his career in a project at CERN, Marcos has led the development of the first quantum-resistant implementation for EVM-compatible blockchain networks and contributed extensively to the convergence between quantum, blockchain, and Web 3.0. Marcos is also the IT Specialist in Blockchain, Web 3.0, and Quantum Technologies at the Inter-American Development Bank where he has published books, papers, and articles on the applications of decentralized and quantum technologies for development. Marcos is a professor in blockchain at the European Tech School and the Three Points Digital School, advisor to the Spanish Government AI4ES scientific committee, member of the WEF Quantum Computing and INATBA Digital Identity committees, and GBBC ambassador.
