Omar Elassar is a strategy, investments, and business development executive focused on the Web3 space. In his current role at Parity Technologies, Omar oversees matters related to ecosystem growth & partnership development, which includes a global mandate to drive adoption of Polkadot technology across crypto native and traditional business segments. Prior to joining Parity, Omar was the Director of BD & Strategic Partnerships at Ripple, and has previously held roles with tier 1 organisations such as Oliver Wyman, Deloitte Consulting, Morgan Stanley, and Barclays Capital. Omar holds an MBA from INSEAD, and an Honours Computer Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
