Richard Booth is the Chief Compliance Officer at Fortress Trust Company, a Nevada State Chartered Trust Company that provides leading web3 infrastructure solutions for brands and builders to build on/off ramps, self-custody wallets, as well as fungible and non fungible token programs. He joined Fortress Trust Bank as an accomplished financial professional specializing in adapting risk and compliance for innovative banking programs. Prior to joing Fortress Trust, he was the founding member of Western Alliance Bank’s Blockchain & Digital Assets group, in addition to holding senior-level compliance positions at UBS, Signature Bank and Hudson City Savings Bank. He has helped integrate 24 / 7 /365 fiat settlement platforms at 2 financial institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seton Hall University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and Leadership Certificate program at the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton. In addition, he has earned the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). When not focused on banking, he is an accomplished triathlete having competed in 17 triathlon’s including the Ironman 70.3 and 140.6 and organized 2 bank triathlon teams.
