Sam Harrison was first exposed to smart contracts while he was working to improve simple and secure authentication. His exposure to the business side of leveraging private/public key pairs allowed him to transition smoothly into working on Tezos to organize their community in 2017 and launch mainnet in 2018. Since that time, he has been worked on early blockchain gaming adoption at ThunderCore, DAOs, NFTs and Play-2-Earn gaming at Harmony and joined Findora in 2022 as the VP of Growth of Discreet Labs, a core developer of the Findora blockchain. A few months after joining Discreet, Sam was asked to be CEO and accepted the role in January 2023. With a degree in Philosophy emphasizing ethical systems and how people make "right" or "wrong" decisions, a law degree with a focus in corporate governance and intellectual property protection and an MBA in finance, Sam seems tailor made for crypto. However, he will be the first one to tell you that he can't code worth a damn. Sam hosts the "Proof of Privacy Podcast and is entirely focused on moving the adoption needle for blockchain technology and is a firm believer that, through cooperation rather than competition, we can build a positive-sum future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
