At Bain Capital Crypto, Vy advises an infrastructure-focused portfolio of Web3 projects on regulatory issues, conducts regulatory due diligence, and leads policy advocacy efforts. Vy has over a decade of experience as a regulatory and enforcement lawyer in both crypto and traditional finance, spanning the public and private sectors. At the SEC, Vy served as Senior Counsel in the Division of Enforcement, where she worked on some of the agency’s first cases involving digital assets, and as Chief Counsel of the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs for two SEC Chairs, where she engaged with Congress, the Treasury Department, and other federal and state entities on crypto regulation and capital markets policy more generally. More recently, Vy oversaw financial regulatory strategy as Deputy General Counsel and Compliance Officer at a crypto startup. She speaks frequently on a wide range of crypto regulatory topics.
